- Objectives:
- SHORT TAIL: To visit all clubs in one Region of District 4-C1.
- LONG TAIL: To visit ALL clubs in District 4-C1.
- The awards will be given in two (2) categories.
- LION AWARD: To each Lion visiting all the clubs in any one Region of
District 4-C1 for the Short Tail award or All of the clubs in District
4-C1 for the Long Tail award.
- CLUB AWARD: To each club completing official visitations to all clubs
in any one Region of District 4-C1for the Short Tail Award, or ALL of
the Clubs in District 4-C1 for the Long Tail Award.
- Visitations by the same individuals the same day to two (2) clubs with the
same overlapping meeting times shall not count.
- A visit to another Lions Club pursuant to the visiting Lion's Official
duties shall be credited for purposes of earning these awards to an
individual Lion, but clubs will not receive credit for a District Governor,
Vice District Governor, Region Chairman or Zone Chairman, number visiting a
club in an official capacity.
- There is no time limit for completing these awards.
- Each Lion or Club will keep their own records of visitations. When all
visitations are completed, turn in evidence of attendance.
- The provisions of item 4 above for Short and Long Tail Awards apply
retroactively to any Lion who has not been credited previously for a club
visit because he visited in an official capacity, provided that the Lion
certifies the dates of the visits. Past officers who may qualify under this
retroactive provision must still have completed visits to ALL clubs in a
Region or the District which have valid charters as of March 31 of the Lion
Year in which an award is requested. Any Lion seeking retroactive award of a
Short or Long Tail based on visitations in the course of Official duties,
shall be responsible for re-imbursement to the District for the cost
thereof.
