Middle Mountain Foundation - The MMF works to maintain the natural, cultural, and historic qualities of the Sutter Buttes for present and future generations. From information about day hikes to merchandise (including a GREAT book), their program included slides, historical facts, and stories about the "World's Smallest Mountain Range" that is sure is be club favorite!  Contact Mike Darnell at (530) 671-6116.
From: Wheatland Lions Club

Northern California Transplant Bank - Tissue Banks International is a non-profit organization providing corneas and other eye tissue for sight-restoring transplant surgery. Many of these transplant banks also recover such tissues as bone, ligaments and tendons (musculosketal tissue) that restore mobility, as well as skin used in burn and reconstructive surgery, heart valves to correct cardiac conditions, and saphenous veins to remedy circulatory problems.  Contact Tami Bryant @ (530) 242-9123.
From: Anderson Lions Club

Americorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) - Since 1933 over 200,000 Americans have served in Americorps VISTA via different community organizations and public agencies helping to build capacity and ultimately bring low income individuals and communities out of poverty.  Lion Liz Packenham (Mountain) is a VISTA volunteer at Ready for Life, a private, non-profit foster family agency serving Siskiyou to Butte counties.  Ready for Life is in need of homes for children ages 1-18, sibling children, and 24/7/365 emergency placement.  If you would like a program on either program for your next club meeting, contact Lion Liz at (530) 222-1826 or rflliz@charterinternet.com.

Lions Eye Foundation - Trustees and Advisors from the Lions Eye Foundation of CA-NV are available to put on programs about the Foundation.
