LIONESS INTER-CLUB VISITATION

PURPOSE: To encourage all clubs to participate in the fellowship and learning that takes place when visiting another club's meeting.

GENERAL RULES: Contest period will be from April 1 through March 31. In order to participate in the visitation contest, visitation forms must be validated by the presiding officers of the club visited and countersigned by your club visitation chairman or club president.

RULES:

  1. Official visitation, with the required number of lioness (minimum of 3) must be to regularly scheduled meetings of other Lioness Clubs, Leo, and Lions. Visitation to a club's sponsoring Lions Club may be awarded one time a year only.
  2. Visitations to Lioness Clubs must be no less than 75% of clubs visited.
  3. Additional points will be awarded for two visits to a club as follows: 1st visit: 20 points, 2nd visit: 10 points.
  4. The one-way distance to the visitation point determines mileage. The only mileage acceptable is on the Lions District Mileage Chart (anything over this chart mileage will be taken off)
  5. Points for visitation are to be figured using the following formula:

Number of Lioness on visit x miles driven,
divided by the number of active Lioness on
the monthly report as shown on July 1st.

EXAMPLE:

A 22-member club with two (2) Lioness as "Member at Large"
4 Lioness visit a club, driving 100 miles
4 x 11, divided by 20 = 20 points
1st visit: 20 points additional
40 points earned for the visitation

  1. There will be a first, second and third place winner.

PROTOCOL DICTATES: The visitation chairman must check with the President or Secretary of the Club to be visited, informing her of the impending visit and the number of Lioness expected on the visitation.

BORROWING OF CLUB PARAPHERNALIA: This is discouraged by the Lioness of 4-C1. However, you may ask for an IOU from the club stating they owe the visiting club whatever amount you desire, if the visit is not repaid by them by the time the contest period is over. If this is not redeemed by the club giving it, prior to the annual 4-C1 Convention, it may be collected anytime after the Convention.
