The Pride of Lions Coloring Books

Lions Clubs International has licensed the REALLY BIG COLORING BOOK ® Company to produce a new recruitment and membership tool to be used by every Lions Club. Please see the second attachment for a picture of the book.

The tool is a 17.5” by 22.5” Giant Coloring book called THE PRIDE OF LIONS, A Kids Guide to Lions Clubs and it is here for your club to order.

The book was recently introduced at the MD-4 convention in Fresno and was met with great success. Past Council Chair Sue Olin was helping Wayne Bell the COO of Really Big Coloring Books to present the book to member Lions at the convention.

The goal is to have every club initially purchase 90 books ( the best price quantity break for $2.99 each book) and as a community project distribute the coloring book to the first, second and third grades in one of the club’s local schools. The book not only educates the children about Lions but would also do the same for the parents.

The target is to get the children and parents involved with and knowledgeable about your club and what Lions do.

For an additional cost the books can be printed with the clubs name and other information or stickers are available for a modest fee to stick on each book.

Let us start educating and recruiting our youngest members today.

As a fund raiser for your club you can also sell a variety of other coloring books. Suggested prices are $6.00 for one book or two for $10.00. Cost is $2.99 per book for 90+ books or $3.15 for less than 90 books. They sell themselves.

Please call PCC Sue Olin for further information at (916) 543-0002.

What To Do... What To Do...

New on the LCI website is a Lions List of Projects and Fundraisers.  Reviewing the list can inspire clubs to begin new service projects, which, in turn, can lean to new members or even reinvigorate the passions of a current Lion.

Quite often, a new project or fundraiser will spark the interest of a particular Lion.  For example, a Lion who likes to run marathons may delight in the opportunity to serve as the chair for a Lions 5K run.  To organize the project, the Lion may seek assistance from non-Lion friends who are runners.  At the end of the event, potential new Lions may be waiting at the finish line.

Clubs that implement good service projects and fundraisers naturally attract new members.  An entry in a local parade is an easy method of raising community awareness of a club.
