For Club and District level
- The person selected from the community and nominated by a club to receive
the award of CITIZEN OF THE YEAR cannot be a Lion, Lioness, Leo or any
member of their household.
- The person selected to CITIZEN OF THE YEAR (Club or District) cannot be
selected again for a period of three (3) years.
- Judging for CITIZEN OF THE YEAR shall be by five (5) Lions: The District
Awards Chairman and the four (4) Region Chairman. Judges shall notify the
Club nominating the winner of their decision so that the winner can be
brought to the District Convention to receive the award. The club is
responsible for expenses incurred to bring the winner to the convention. The
committee members may not, as individuals, nominate a CITIZEN OF THE YEAR.
- Name and qualifications of the nominees must be received by the District
Awards Chairman or a Region Chairman postmarked on or before April 1, prior
to the Convention.
